When I started in photography, shooting film was the only option. As was manual focus.

Then, in the 1990s, when I switched to auto focus, I also switched from Pentax to Canon. When I started shooting digital, I stuck with Canon because I already had a nice kit of lenses.

I still own a few "old" '80s era Canon EF lenses, but my first truly "vintage" lens was a Canon 50mm f/0.95 "Dream Lens."

I wrote about it on
MY FUN GLASS. It was also published on a camera retailer's blog and these are the photos I took to accompany that blog post.
A few years ago, I bought a Canon Kiss X4 for the sole purpose of converting it to shoot infrared (IR).

These photos were taken in Providence Canyon State Park, colloquially referred to as Georgia's Little Grand Canyon.

I only brought my EF 40mm f/2.8 "pancake" lens for simplicity, but the photos seemed a little cramped and I wish I had used the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 to get a wider field of view.
Just east of downtown Atlanta, Georgia is a Victorian Garden, that also happen to be an antebellum cemetery.

Oakland Cemetery is steeped in history, from its very location to those interred.

Even if just for a leisurely stroll around its 88 acres, a visit is a must.
