Before I purchased a MACRO lens, I would borrow one from a friend.

She and I both shot Canon and none of the lenses in our respective kits (at first) overlapped, so it was fun to play around without having to make a financial investment.

I also know many musicians. I thought it would be cool to take some photos of their gear, but from a different perspective than people normally see it.
The next lens I write about for MY FUN GLASS, will probably be the one I used to take these photos.

That lens, a 35mm f/2.8 Jupiter-12, is a 40+ year old Soviet era lens that I picked up for about $25 US.

Since I was taking photos of old cars, I thought it only appropriate to use an old lens.

The lens normally has a 1m minimum focus, but my adapter has a helicoid that gives 4-5mm of extension so the minimum focus can be as close as about 250mm which allows some interesting shots.
